De France !!!

J'ai aussi reçu un colis de France de la part de Christine dans le cadre de notre échange sur le forum jebrode.com. Un pique aiguille en cartonnage avec un Hibou très trognon et mon initiale, ainsi qu'un coussinet porte-ciseaux !

MERCI c'est vraiment très chouette !!

Du Japon !!

Cette semaine j'ai reçu un colis de mon amie Yuko du Japon !!! Il s'agit de notre premier échange cette année et Yuko m'a encore gâtée ! Comme à son habitude Yuko réalise de très belles choses avec un fini impécable.

This week I received a parcel from my friend Yuko from Japan ! Here's our first exchange for 2008 ! And as usual Yuko spoiled me :-)) As usual, Yuko made beautiful things with a perfect finishing. Thanks and don't worry my friend your parcel will arrive really soon !!

Je ne suis pas beaucoup venue sur le net ces dernières semaines, j'étais fort occupée ! j'ai fait un sac patchwork !

I didn't connect myself on the net these last weeks, I was too busy , I saw a patchwork bag !

J'ai aussi fait une cocotte pour ma copine Nadine pour Pâques ! et avec mon autre copine Liliane on a fait le panier garni de la cocotte !

I also made a beautiful hen for my friend Nadine for Easter ! and with my other friend Liliane we put some goodies in the box !

Et pour finir pour aujourd'hui, j'ai aussi fait un lapin pour Cécile (alias Hermione) pour notre échange de Pâques.

And the last thing for today is a little rabbit for Cécile for our Easter Exchange.

L'aiguille en fête

Samedi dernier j'ai passé ma journée à arpenter les allées du salon l'aiguille en fête à Paris. Il y avait beaucoup de monde dans des allées fort étroites et on avait du mal à accéder aux stands. Le monde s'étant dissipé vers 17h00, on a pu refaire un tour plus calmement.

Le Japon était cette année l'invité d'honneur avec une magnifique exposition de broderies et de kimonos. Mais mon moment préféré de la journée a été la rencontre de quelques copinettes :-)) On a pu enfin mettre un visage sur un pseudo, et on a partagé de beaux moments de bonne humeur une vraie ambiance de colonie de vacances. Bisous les filles.

des livres un sur le Log cabin d'Eleanor Burns très célèbre professeur de patchwork aux US, (visible sur quilter's TV) un de Reiko Kato, son premier traduit en français, c'est aussi une célèbre créatrice japonaise de patchwork appliqué et un kit de patchwork en appliqué avec tissus japonais !

Last Saturday, I went to Paris to The Show where all needleworkers must go every year. It's a very important event.

There were many exhibitors and many visitors too. Too crowded for me !

I saw a lot of cross stitch charts, patchwork kits, many differents threads and fabrics.

This year the guest was Japan with a wonderful exhibition of Japanese Embroideries.

But the most important during this day was a meeting with some internet's friends I've never sawn before. I was a really fantastic day.

The book of patchwork "Heartful Quilt" by Reiko Kato is in French ! It's the first time that her books are translated ! I've met her and talk with her for while. She is a very nice and sweet person.

I also bought a book from the famous quilt teacher Eleonor Burns. I'm a quilter's TV fan and the way she teaches is very clear even if sometimes she speaks too fast for me, especially for the measurments all these inches and feet I'm lost !!!

Now I have to tidy all my project box !! I will have a lot of until 2050 !!
